I can hear every sound
There are too many people around
I can hear the pounding of my chest
I’m trying to look my best
Breathe
My feet feel stuck to the ground
It feels like simple breathes aren’t allowed
It feels like I’m drowning
How can this overwhelming feeling appear
so un-announcing
Breathe
In and out
I can’t tell my friends
They will look at me with doubt
What’s happening to me is so embarrassing
Letting them find out the extensity
Is too unsettling
Kids are too mean and menacing
Breathe
Just breathe
I twist and pull my hair
It’s getting bad
To the point where you’re aware
Life just doesn’t seem fair
These feelings are too raw and bare
Breathe
Don’t panic, you just need a moment to debrief.
A moment to breathe.
You have anxiety
Something that plaques most of society.
No reason to be ashamed
These uncontrolled feelings can be obtained.
You’re not nearing death
So just take a breath.
