As we all grow up, we take our first baby steps

Step by step by step by step.

Our first walk of life. 

But when we are young we never know the struggles we will face

Hurting like a knife…

As we all grow up, we enter school

Trying to be the “cool kid” so we can rule

Our first friends are made

Moving up by a grade

But when we are young we never know the struggles we will face

If that is the case… 

As we all grow up, we can enter college

Trying to test our knowledge!

Maybe a first breakup 

But when we are young we never know the struggles we will face

If that is the case…

As we all grow up, we might have kids

Or not.

Teach them all the forbids

But now we are knowing the struggles we face

If that is the case…

As we grow up, we experience our first loss

Something we have never crossed

Tears go down

From  town to town 

But now we are knowing the struggles we face

If that is the case… 

However this might all be a dream,

One that might have been too extreme!

One we have never seen

But if that is the case…

That we will face

Then we will still have to keep Growing up
